Hello, my name is Olivier Coloni.

After my A-levels, I started studying literature, but soon stopped. I was so disorientated that I couldn't even sign up for the courses that were essential to my course. I only attended the ones whose title attracted me, regardless of whether they were given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year students. It was enriching, but that's not how you get a degree (I've nevertheless retained my taste for study, and being a great devourer of texts, I've never stopped self-taught). So I spent just over a year playing chess on a mattress while eating bread and drinking coffee.
After a dispiriting military experience and a few tragi-comic jobs, I entered the Conservatoire Supérieur de Théatre in Montpellier. This determined some thirty years of my life, as an actor, assistant director, director and acting teacher.

In France and Germany.
On a whim, I decided to move to Berlin, unaware that I didn't speak German. It was a 'delicate' period. Several years and two psychotherapies later, I decided to train in Gestalt Therapy at the TIB in Berlin, an institute offering bridges between Gestalt, Bio-energy and Tibetan Buddhist spirituality. After so many years, I finally found a haven where I could feel at home. Just goes to show, it's never too late and, as the saying goes, "don't give up hope".
Like Molière's character, I think I've always been a psychotherapist without knowing it, but although I had the intuition, I didn't have the tools. I was attracted and fascinated by the feelings, pleasant or otherwise, behind people's masks. Studying theatrical characters and practising acting was a good way of learning.
